HEB ADVISORY BOARDS

The HEB Advisory Board

Humanities E-Book emphasizes the scholarly standing of its authors and the quality of its publications. The ACLS has therefore established a Policy Advisory Board, appointed and chaired by the president of the ACLS, to provide policy oversight for HEB and to advise the Directors on the evolution of the undertaking. The board is composed of leading scholars, editors, librarians, and university administrators, all selected for their involvement in the problems and challenges of scholarly communication.

Title Review Board

The HEB forms its lists using a variety of approaches. Of prime importance has been the participation of the Learned Societies. The Societies either formed committees to draw up lists of titles or provided ACLS with lists of their annual award winners. Suggestions for the list were also solicited from individual scholars within the societies whom we asked to contact us directly or through the society's project liaison. These lists were then reviewed by a panel of noted scholars. This panel includes:
